An economically-important trait in poultry for which gene identification continues to be a challenge is immune response. The objective of the study was quantitate expression major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II BLB2 at cytolytic and latent response stages Nigerian indigenous chickens. A total 108 chickens (NIC) were sourced across South-western states Nigeria. The birds inoculated with sheep red blood cells (SRBC), after samples obtained (5 days post-inoculation) antibody haemagglutination test carried out place the birds into groups high low titre levels. categorisation resulted six normal feather high, normal low, naked neck high, frizzle frizzle feather groups. of 48 chicks selected from progeny expression studies.
